October took us to Paris to install William Forsyth’s Alignigung for his Choreographic Objects exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery in Paris. Alignigung is a combination of two words from different languages. The first word comes from the english word align and the other is einigung, which is german for agreement. The piece is a single channel video installation which features two men intertwined, working together, in what seems like a choreographed motion, to change their shape and move around.
ArtAV provided the encoding of media, equipment and installation services for this piece. Alignigung was projected onto a 6m wide screen using an Optoma EH515, 5500 Lumen, projector. The media playback was provided by a Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle which provided looped HD playback.
