The experience took place during the London Design Festival and celebrated the unique nature of the triangular-shape-adorned bags now synonymous with Issey Miyake, which were introduced in 2010. It was a display of vibrant color palettes and iconic patterns that adorn a myriad of unique bags, which will sit alongside a kaleidoscopic presentation of over 100 bags that create a rainbow-like effect under the vision of BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE.

“BAOBAOVOICE” allowed visitors to engage with the bags like they would a musical instrument, incorporating touch, sound and sight into the exhibition. The experience encouraged visitors to touch the structures, and will be supported by a state-of-the-art sound system that synchronizes the bag’s movement to the sounds. These sounds will correspond with a visual which will be displayed on a large wall, making for diverse, dynamic visual and sonic textures.
ArtAV designed and installed the technical solution using 2 Epson EB-L1755u 15,000 lumen Laser Projectors and short throw lenses.
Projection mapping was achieved using an ArtAV Notch media server with audio provided through QSC K8 speakers.
