Back in Durham for the fifth time, artists from around the world illuminated the city in delightful and unexpected ways, with a series of light installations to explore. Since the first Lumiere in Durham 2009, producers Artichoke have brought the iconic light festival to cities across the UK. From Durham to Derry~Londonderry and London in January 2016, urban landscapes are spectacularly transformed with installations by international artists.
Having worked with Artichoke and the Lumiere Festival’s for a number of years now, ArtAV were responsible for several of the installations, in show support and the Wi-Fi infastucture for the festival. The installations ArtAV have been working on are as follows…
Pablo Valbuena – Methods – Durham Cathedral
Simeon Nelson – Cosmoscope – Crown Court Diamonds
Shuster & Molesley – What matters – St Oswalds Church and Churchyard
